COSMIC DETECTIVE a graphic novel by Lemire, Kindt, Rubin

SEPTEMBER UPDATE!

Nothing new to report! We are still schedule to be on press by end of the year - we really are just waiting on the printer at this point. I've spec'd the paper - a nice satin-finish that will let the color pop off the page - but won't be too glossy. All art is in-house - and I'll try to shoot a video in October where I scroll through the entire document (but super-quick) so you can get a feel for how big and epic it is - without revealing spoilers.  

Putting together the playing cards this  month as well for that crazy stretch goal! Which reminds me of my new favorite card game - just discovered this a few weeks ago - and it can be played with a regular deck of cards (including the Cosmic Detective cards?!). See below and check your local game or comic shop for a deck! You can also find the rules online if you want to try first with a standard deck of cards - but the art on these is great. Here's the game:

I'm uploading files to printer tonight - and the PDF/digital file should be available soon via backerkit - which will also go out this week! We're super close! I'll post again when backerkit is live and sent!

I'm currently wrapping up the production of the book this month! Getting close to having a PDF/digital file to share with everyone! In the meantime - here are a few more pages/teaser art.

It's official! The book is finished and ready to go. We've signed the contract with the printer so it is official.

The printer (Transcontinental Printing, Canada) is super-backed up on hardcover books so the soonest we can get on press is November/December. I've worked with this printer in the past (on the MIND MGMT book and record) and through Dark Horse - super reliable printer and high quality so nothing to worry about on that end.  With that press-date we should be shipping books in January. It's been a long road to get here - but after all the hard work/sweat - we'll finally have something to show (and ship) to you!

We're planning on sending out the backerkit-pledge manager a few weeks before I send the files to the printer (October) - so if you have last minute address change, or want to adjust your order you'll be able to do it then.
